Learn how to prepare, recognize and respond to emergencies. Including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to operate an AED (automated external defibrillator).
This comprehensive course, will give you the confidence to provide care in an emergency. Topics covered include; wound care, breathing emergencies, CPR/AED training, head, neck, spinal, bone, muscle, and joint injuries, poisons, environmental illnesses.
Learn how to care for infants, toddlers and children in an emergency situation, including CPR/AED training.
We will cover strategies on how to prepare and prevent emergencies.
BLS focuses on perfecting your cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, with a second responder and in a team environment. You will learn how to perform a rapid assessment, efficient use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), assisted ventilation, and airway obstruction.
Whether you work, live or enjoy recreational activities in a remote or wilderness environment, you will need specialized training to respond to emergencies. This is a practical, hands on course with real life scenarios outside.
Learn how to recognize and manage medical emergencies and life and limb emergencies, for extended periods in a wilderness environment. You will learn how to plan and prepare for emergency evacuation.
WIlderness First Aid Recert - 16 hours
Prerequisite - Unexpired 40 hour Wilderness First Aid Certification
Remote First Aid Recert - 8 hours
Prerequisite - Unexpired 20 Hour Remote First Aid Certificate
Comprehensive first aid and CPR skills for professional first responders or those training to become first responders. Course teaches the EMALB patient assessment model, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, hemorrhage control, and care for a variety of acute and chronic conditions.
This comprehensive course covers how to provide first aid in a marine environment. The course meets the requirements of Transport Canada outlined in Transport Publication (TP) 13008 E.
Recertification courses are available in all of the first aid disciplines. Prerequisite is a current unexpired certificate in the First Aid discipline that you would like to renew. Price and dates can be found on course pages.
No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations less than 5 days before the start date of your course.
50% of your course fee will be charged for cancellations made between 6 - 10 days before the start of your course date.
A credit will be issued minus administration fees for cancellations made more than 10 days before the start of your course.
Any changes that you make to the date of your course will be subject to administration fees.
If you do not show up for a course, you will foreit your course fee and no credit will be issued.
